Crystal Challenge

Overview:
Team building activities can sometimes be a bore but with this Crystal Challenge, your entire team is engaged and challenged both physically and mentally. Based on a game show called Crystal Maze, you and your team members must work together in a variety of different gaming challenges to earn crystals.
The head ringleader of the event will don special garb and split your people into teams who will then tackle different challenges in this Crystal Challenge. You have time constraints but will earn a crystal each time you finish a task before time runs out. You will receive mysterious clues such as anagrams and riddles you must decipher to lead you to the next gaming area and new team challenge. Each team will eventually come together to see who earned the most crystals to enter into the special Crystal Chamber.
There is a climax event with the two leading teams competing each other, each taking their turn in the Crystal Chamber. During this final challenge, team members must collect as many tickets as possible while inside. The allotted time they have is in direct correlation to the number of crystals they won in introductory rounds. The more crystals you have, the more time you have in the Crystal Chamber to collect tickets!
You can expect the challenges in this Crystal Challenge event to include tests of physical, mental, and skillful talents just like the Crystal Maze game show. These activities include:
Physical:
Spider Beware – You and your team must traverse through a maze of “spider” webs without disturbing the spider resting within.
Shark Bait – You and your team must make it to a special island and unlock the treasure chest to get to the crystal within. The problem lies in the making it to this island with only planks and boards providing a pathway over shark infested waters.
River Wild – Your team must build a water-worthy vessel across a “wild” patch of river. The goal is capturing the crystal prize on the other side.
Crafty Construction – This team exercise requires that you build a contraption 3 feet tall or shorter that can lift a bucket full of water.
Block Head – Revert to your childhood by building with wooden blocks! You must replicate different wooden construction displays. It’s not as easy peasy as it seems!
Whack a Mole – Your group of comrades must build a battering device to bust open boxes. The task is to open all the presented boxes to earn a key which will open a box containing a crystal prize.
Mental:
Atomic Countdown – The fate of the world is in your team’s hands as you race against the clock to prevent nuclear annihilation. The object is to diffuse an atomic bomb and one team member stays with it while the rest of the team hunts for clues to crack the bomb codes. If you beat the clock, your team wins a precious crystal. If not, well …
Pyramid Power – This game is a real head scratcher. You have blocks piled up to create a pyramid in one place and your task is to move all the blocks to a new location, recreating the exact configuration of the pyramid.
Oil Spill – You’ve got an “oil” spill to clean up with your team mates. The object is to use a system of pulleys and ropes to remove the leaking “oil” containers to a safe place. There’s just one teeny bit of a problem. The member removing the containers must be blindfolded and has to depend on their team mates to guide them!
Navigating Math – Uh oh! The captain is lost and only he knows where a special crystal is stored! You have to solve different math problems to help the captain navigate his way to the crystal.
Detecting Detective – You have to decipher puzzling clues and help the bumbling detective in charge solve a murder!
Skill:
Shepherding Sheep – One team member serves as the shepherd and their task is to direct the rest of the herd, er team, into a holding area. The “herd” is blindfolded and the shepherd must navigate them by noises alone before times runs out!
Eggs Over Easy – The ultimate team building exercise! You and your mates must design and construct an egg launcher that can launch an egg out of eyesight. Sounds easy right? The trick is you all cannot touch the egg and the launched egg must not break! The teams with unbroken eggs win a coveted crystal.
Roman Chariots – Your team must construct a chariot first. Then, two team members pull the chariot while another rides it. The object is for the chariot rider to knock over as many enemy Romans using a sword. Knock all the Romans over and a crystal prize waits.
A Jules Verne Adventure – Based on Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days, your team must move a balloon carrying title character Phileas Fogg and his sidekick valet Passepartout without touching it with any hands. Beat the clock and receive a crystal prize!
Landing the Right Hook – The crystal prize is housed within an array of bamboo tubing which have hooks attached to the top. You have to toss a hoop and land on a hook. It sounds easy but you must do it in a particular order to capture the crystal.
Gotta Hurl – You and the team must hurl a variety of object via catapult at specific targets. These targets must be knocked down to win the crystal prize.
Beam Me Up! – Special lasers secure a prized crystal. You have to figure out a way to retrieve the crystal without breaking a laser beam which brings out the cavalry. This is an indoor game.
