Bartender Extraordinaire

Overview:

Drinks are on you as your group is treated to delicious cocktails, fun and games and learning how to mix drinks yourself!  It’s a lively event and a great warm-up or close-out to any other team building event. The new drink skills you learn are taught by actual experienced bartenders.

Program Lineup:

1.  Cocktails and Reception – Your group will be treated to a drink and fruit cocktail upon being seated for the upcoming event.

2.  The Art and Science of Cocktails – Your group will be treated to quite a show from world-class bartenders mixing it up for the crowd. Set to music, the bartenders show a bit of style and flair mixing drinks such as contemporary and traditional cocktails and even their own special creations. You all even get to taste these new drinks!

3.  Game Time – Cocktail making goes interactive as your group is split into teams to observe how the drinks are created. You must observe closely as you will likely have to recreate the drink – in a timed event, no less! Your efforts will be graded on a scale of 1 to 10 and several rounds will be played. Some drink games are solo and others require a partner to recreate drinks. There is also a style round to see which team has the most panache when creating and presenting their cocktails.

- You will learn how to pour the alcohol from the bottles correctly and with flair.

- Your team will learn how to layer shots.

- Everyone will learn how to marry your movements to music to create a sensational drink creation presentation.

4.  Get into the Spirit – Before the cocktail games begin, everyone will have the opportunity to taste the different liquors, liqueurs, and other ingredients that may or may not make it into your creations. World class bartenders will walk you through this taste test, sampling spirits from all over the world.

5.  Cocktail Mixer – In your teams, you all will be given certain basic liquor ingredients in addition to mystery ingredients that you must use to create a fabulous new drink. Some ingredients will seem quite odd like onions, chicken stock or exotic fruits. Using their fine powers of cocktail observation, teams will apply their newfound knowledge in creating a totally new cocktail. The team will then nominate one person to serve as the bartender when presenting the drink to the rest of the team. Real bartenders are on hand to check progress and provide tips.

6.  Prize and Awards – There will be an individual prize awarded to someone who displays the best bartender impression while a team will win the top prize for best drink concoction. More drinks and entertainment will follow the awards!
